Mandolin Camp is for beginning mandolin players who would like a short term, intensive program in order to be able to join jams or perform by summer. Or maybe you just want to entertain yourself-- that's fine too! Camp will begin in late February/early March, and conclude in early May.

Classes are held at my house on Country Club Road. I teach playing by ear, so you don't need to read music. If you don't have a mandolin I can rent you one. We will learn chords in major and minor keys, musical scales, a little pentatonic improvisation. I will help you find your vocal range and give you an opportunity to practice with a microphone if you'd like.
You don't have to sing, but it is nice to learn the chorus to a song. There is no pressure to perform but there will be opportunities, and we will have a party near the close in May when you can invite your friends and family. Doesn't this sound like fun?
